Bound in original black cloth with the title in gold on the spine. Has table of contents, index of mines, index of localities and index for subjects. Describes all of the gold and silver mining in the western states by county in 1884 with several maps. Also, in the back it describes crystalline gold and gold nuggets including Russian crystal gold. The index of mines has over 3,000 mines. Has many statistical tables. In VG+ condition with ALL leaves and pages and NO soiling, stains, marks, tears foxing or browning etc. Tightly bound with VG+ inner and outer hinges. NO owners or library marks or labels.
